A method for preparing a stable bioactive substance comprising a bioactive material, comprising; (a) dissolving the bioactive material in a solution that comprises solutes, where the solutes are a small molecule, selected from the group consisting of inorganic salts, and sugars, so that a bioactive solution is obtained, where the bioactive solution has a bioactive material concentration of at least 5% and a solute concentration of less than 5% of the bioactive solution, each percentage being based on the total weight of the bioactive solution; (b) adsorbing the bioactive solution onto dry non-gelling water-soluble polysaccharide particles in a mass ratio between the bioactive solution and the polysaccharide particles of between 0.25: 1 and 1: 1, so that charged particles are formed bioactive polysaccharide; and (c) drying the bioactive polysaccharide loaded particles, so that the stable bioactive substance is obtained. |
