A peptide with the formula I or II shown below ** (See formula) ** where: A1v is selected from G, GKI or GIK where G is glycine, K is lysine and I is isoleucine; A2w is II or VV, where I is isoleucine and V is valine; A3x is KK or OO where K is lysine and O is ornithine; y is 2, 3, or 4; A4 is absent or is an amino acid selected from isoleucine (I), leucine (L), valine (V), and lysine (K); z is 0, 1, 2 or 3; R1 is a terminal substituent selected from OH, NH2, (1-18C) alkyl, N [(1-18C) alkyl] 2 or NH (1-18C) alkyl; and R2 and R3 are both independently selected from H, (1-18C) alkyl or (2-18C) acyl; or a salt of it; wherein the peptide comprises 12 to 20 amino acids. |
