abstract |
A method of preparing a treated spacer fabric comprising the steps of: a) providing a spacer fabric of a thermoplastic polymer; b) providing a liquid treatment composition comprising one or more C6 perfluoroalkyl based fluoropolymer (s) and a solvent; c) treating the spacer fabric by immersing the spacer fabric in a bath of the liquid treatment composition; d) removing excess treatment composition from the treated spacer fabric; e) drying the treated spacer fabric; and f) fixing the treated spacer tissue, wherein the concentration of the C6 perfluoroalkyl-based fluoropolymer (s) in the provided liquid treatment composition is in the range of 0.3 to 10 g / l, and wherein the treated spacer tissue obtained after step f) has a burn rate according to FMVSS 302 of less than 100 mm / minute in at least five out of six measurements in the transverse direction, three measurements on the first side and three measurements on the second. , and has a total emission according to VDA 277 of less than 100 μg C / g. |
