abstract | A chromium-free inorganic agent for metal surface treatment comprising a compound X that contains a metal X1 and has a structure represented by X1 = O, ionic species of which that contain metal X1 are converted into cations in an aqueous solution, and a compound Y containing a metal Y1, ionic species of which containing the metal Y1 are converted to anions in an aqueous solution, a total content of compound X that is 0.01 to 10% by mass, a total content of compound Y that is 0.01 to 10% by mass, a molar ratio of metal X1 in cation and metal Y1 in anion ((metal X1) / (metal Y1)) which is 0.1 to 5, where metal X1 is Zr, wherein the metal Y1 is at least one member selected from the group consisting of Ti, Zr, and Si, and compound X is one of zirconyl sulfate, zirconyl nitrate, and zirconyl acetate and compound Y is one fluorotitanic acid, fluorozirconic acid, silicofluoric acid and salts thereof , and the metal surface treatment agent comprises at least one phosphorus-containing compound selected from the group consisting of phosphoric acid, phosphorous acid, condensed phosphoric acid, phosphonic acid, and a derivative of any one of them, in an amount 0.01 to 10% by mass and substantially free of organic resin. |
