abstract | A process for forming a polymer, comprising a) forming a reaction mixture containing 1) at least one polyene compound having an average of at least two aliphatic carbon-carbon double bond-containing groups capable of reacting with a thiol group, in wherein at least one such aliphatic carbon-carbon double bond is separated from each other said aliphatic carbon-carbon double bond by an aliphatic spacer group having a weight of at least 1,000 atomic mass units, 2) from 20 to 150 parts by weight, for 100 parts by weight of component 1), of at least one epoxy resin having an average of at least 1.5 epoxy groups per molecule and an epoxy equivalent weight of up to 1,000 and 3) at least one thiol curing agent that has at least two thiol groups and at least one amine curing agent having at least two amine hydrogens, the thiol and amine curing agents being present in a molar ratio of from 1:99 to 99:1, and b) curing mix reaction to form the polymer. |
