titleOfInvention | Internal housing for a drug delivery device |
abstract | A dose adjustment mechanism for a drug delivery device, said mechanism comprising an external housing (40; 204), an internal housing (208), an actuator (30; 209), and a selection sleeve (10; 206) disposed between said external housing and said internal housing, wherein the internal housing has an external slot (232), said internal housing being operatively coupled to the actuator (30; 209) and guiding said actuator to dispense an adjusted dose by said mechanism of dose setting and wherein said selection sleeve is rotatably engaged with said external slot of said internal housing; wherein the dose setting mechanism further comprises a clutch (26; 205) operatively coupled to said selection sleeve (10; 206) and said actuator (30; 209), said clutch, said selection sleeve, and said rotary actuator together during an adjustment of a dose of said drug delivery device, and said clutch allows relative rotation of said actuator and said selection sleeve during an injection of said dose; and / or wherein the dose setting mechanism is configured so that when a dose is adjusted by said dose setting mechanism, said selection sleeve (10; 206) and actuator (30; 209) are rotated with relative to said outer housing (40; 204) and said inner housing (208) and translate away from said outer housing and said inner housing. |
