titleOfInvention MONITORING DEVICE FOR TOXIC SUBSTANCES IN WATER AND THE SYSTEM THAT INCLUDES IT
abstract Device (30) for monitoring toxic substances in water and a system that comprises it. The device incorporates a reference chamber (1) with a purifying filter (8) and a monitoring chamber (2) with an inert filter (9). Both chambers (1, 2) also each incorporate an inlet and an outlet for the flow of water and house a biofilm (5) and a fluorimeter (6) to measure fluorescence. A data acquisition unit (18) acquires measurements from the fluorimeter (6) of each chamber (1, 2) that can be compared to identify changes in the aquatic environment. Passive collectors for organic (3) and inorganic (4) pollutants can be incorporated into the two chambers, which, once analyzed in the laboratory, allow the results obtained from the biofilm to be complemented. The system includes a remote computer (21) to transmit alarms to terminals (22).
