Disposable temporary spacer device for a joint of the human body or for a bone cavity, wherein said spacer device comprises at least one first component adapted to be restricted to a portion or end of bone, wherein said spacer device is made in a biologically compatible material, wherein said spacer device comprises interconnected pores, said interconnected pores have a size and occupy a percentage of the volume of said spacer device such that said spacer device is capable of absorbing, and consequently eluting, one or more pharmaceutical or medical substances in the form of a liquid or fluid or paste or cream, or gel, or wax, or viscous form, characterized in that said spacer device is previously formed and said interconnected pores are uniformly distributed throughout the volume occupied by said spacer device. |
