titleOfInvention ECG electrode connector
abstract An ECG connector assembly (1400), comprising: a housing (1424), having an interior recessed surface (1431), having disposed therein an opening (1434) sized to operatively receive the push button of a ECG electrode pad; a radiolucent conductor (1432), disposed in at least a portion of the recessed inner surface (1431); a radiolucent lead wire conductor (1477), extending from a proximal end of the housing (1424), and operatively coupled to the radiolucent conductor (1432); a coupling element (1436), pivotally disposed on the inner recessed surface (1431), and having a coupling face (1437) and a pivot (1415), wherein the coupling element (1436) can pivot between a first position, whereby the coupling face (1437) is closer to an upper portion of the opening (1434), and a second position, whereby the coupling face (1437) is further away from the portion top of the opening (1434), wherein the push button can be captured in the opening (1434) between the mating face (1437) and a side wall of the opening (1434); The coupling element (1436) further including an arcuate reinforcement (1438), disposed between one end of the distal coupling face (1437) of the pivot and the pivot (1415) of the coupling element (1436), and wherein the reinforcement arcuate (1438) and mating face (1437) form a closed shape, which surrounds the aforementioned opening (1434), wherein the closed shape is larger than said opening (1434), and wherein the closed shape defines a opening to receive said push button; wherein the combination of the opening (1434) in the housing (1424), and the opening defined by the arcuate gusset (1438) and the mating face (1437) provide sufficient space for insertion of the push button; and a radiolucent elastic member (1470), configured to bias the coupling member (1436) toward the first position.
