titleOfInvention | AN APPROPRIATE ITEM TO DISPENSE OR ABSORB A LIQUID |
abstract | 1.An article for dispensing or absorbing a liquid, characterized in that it is constituted from two superimposed and liquid-permeable layers of paper or non-woven fabric joined together by their marginal edges and, between said layers, a continuous layer or discontinuous of a porous polymeric material sensitive to pressure and capable of retaining at least five times its own weight in liquid, defined as water, being also capable of releasing at least part of said liquid by applying manual pressure exerted on the same, the polymeric material being dry or containing an aqueous or non-aqueous liquid. 2. An article according to claim 1, characterized in that the layer of porous polymeric material is in the form of a plurality of blocks, and the layers of paper or non-woven fabric are thus joined together to form a plurality of compartments between them , containing at least some of the respective compartments blocks of said porous polymeric material and being liquid permeable. 3. An article according to previous claims, characterized in that the porous polymeric material is a vinyl or styrene polymer, with a dry density of less than 0.1 gr / cc. 4. An article according to previous claims, characterized in that the porous polymeric material comprises a series of connected pores, with a porous volume greater than 9 cc / gr. 5. An article according to previous claims, characterized in that the porous polymeric material is made up of a product obtained by the polymerization of an emulsion rich in internal phase, with an aqueous internal phase that constitutes at least 90% of the weight of the emulsion. 6.An item to dispense or absorb a liquid. |
