abstract | A process for reducing the adherence of a chewing gum core composition to an internal contact surface of a first chewing gum processing machinery in a chewing gum preparation process comprising the following steps: a) providing isomaltose in a suitable amount to reduce the adherence of the composition to the surface, in which the isomaltose particles have a diameter of less than 100 µm, b) provide a gum base composition and c) knead the isomaltose provided in step a) with the chewing gum base composition provided in step b) and obtaining the isomalt-containing composition of a chewing gum core, in which step c) is carried out on the internal contact surface of the first chewing gum processing machinery , and wherein the amount of isomaltose provided in step a) is at least 10% by weight of the isomaltose-containing composition of the chewing gum core obtained in step c ). |
