titleOfInvention Sealing device
abstract A medical device (1702) for sealing a defect or structure in a heart, the medical device of which comprises: a cable frame (1700) including a plurality of cables (1706) each extending from a proximal end of the cable frame (1700) to a distal end of the cable frame (1700), forming the cables (1706): a first cable aggregation member defining a proximal grommet (1708) near the proximal end of the cable frame (1700) and a second cable aggregation element defining a distal grommet (1710) near the distal end of the cable frame (1700), the first cable aggregation element being formed from the first end portions of each cable (1706) from between the plurality of cables (1706), and the second cable aggregation element formed from the second end parts of each cable (1706) from among the plurality of cables (1706); a first occlusion element (1712) arranged adjacent to the first cable aggregation element and that for each cable (1706) of the frame (1700) includes a first generally linear segment (1716) and a first generally curved segment (1718) which together they define a petal of the first occlusion element (1712); a second occlusion element (1714) arranged adjacent to the second cable aggregation element and that for each cable (1706) of the frame (1700) includes a second generally linear segment (1720) and a second generally curved segment (1722) which together define a petal of the second occlusion element (1714); and a defect occupying part (1724) disposed between the first occlusion element (1712) and the second occlusion element (1714), wherein each cable (1706) from among the plurality of cables (1706) includes, in the defect occupation part (1724), a third generally linear segment (1726), a fourth generally linear segment (1728) and a third generally curved segment (1730) arranged between the third generally linear segment (1726) and the fourth segment generally linear (1728); and a sealing element (1704) configured with one or more gaps defining an open area in the sealing element (1704), the sealing element (1704) being arranged in the frame (1700) such that the one or more gaps are located at one or both of between the first occlusion element (1712) and the second occlusion element (1714), and where at least a first gap of the one or more gaps is arranged within an interior space defined by a petal of the first occlusion element (1712) or of the second occlusion element (1714), and wherein a perimeter of the first separation is separated from a wire (1706) that forms the petal or where at least a first separation of the one or more separations is arranged between two adjacent petals and where a perimeter of the first separation is separated from the cables (1706) that form the two adjacent petals.
