titleOfInvention A PROCEDURE FOR OBTAINING CRYSTALLINE POLYMERIC COMPOSITIONS SUITABLE FOR OBTAINING TEXTILE FIBERS
abstract A crystalline polymeric composition suitable for the manufacture of textile fibres comprises a crystalline alpha-olefin polymer which has been made using stereospecific catalysts, and an inorganic compound which has an affinity for disperse dyestuffs and is capable of bonding with alizarine dyestuffs to give water-insoluble compounds. The inorganic compound may contain Al, Cr, Fe, Cu, Sn, Pb, Zn, ti, V, Tl, Co, Ni, Mn, Mg, Sr, Ca, Ba, NH\sL4, Na, K, Rb, or Cs. Exemplified compounds are zinc hydroxide, sodium aluminate, calcium metaborate, zinc stearate, and aluminium stearate. The preferred polymer is isotactic polypropylene.
