A process for reducing the polymerization of a starting reagent comprising: providing a liquid phase composition comprising a compound of formulas I, II and/or III CX2=CCl-CH2X (Formula I) CX3-CCl=CH2 (Formula II ) CX3-CHCl-CH2X (Formula III) and one or more supplementary organic compounds other than the compound of formulas I, II and/or III, wherein X is independently selected from F, Cl, Br and I, with the proviso that at least one X is not fluorine; and heating said starting composition to form a vapor phase composition, said supplemental organic compound being present in an amount ranging from 1 to 50% by weight, preferably from 3 to 30% by weight and more preferably from 5 to 15% by weight and wherein said organic filler is a halocarbon or haloolefin and has a boiling point that is lower than the boiling point for the compound of Formulas I, II or III and wherein the organic filler is chemically compatible with the compound of Formulas I, II or III and with hydrogen fluoride. |
