abstract | Process for preparing phenylisoxazoline derivatives of formula (I) ** Formula in which R1 is methyl, bromomethyl or chloromethyl; R2 is halogen, C1-C4 alkyl, C1-C4 alkoxy or C1-C4 haloalkyl and R3 is C1-C4 alkylsulfonyloxy or C1-C4 haloalkylsufonyloxy, characterized in that, in step (i), a chloroxime of formula (II) ** Formula in which R4 is C1-C12 alkyl, it is reacted with a styrene of formula (III) ** Formula in which R2 and R3 are as defined above, in the presence of an inorganic base in an organic aprotic solvent to give the corresponding phenylisoxazoline of formula (IV) ** Formula in which R2, R3 and R4 are as defined above, and the latter is then reacted, in step (ii), with an organometallic reagent and an organic base in an aprotic solvent organic to give the ketone of formula (Ia) ** Formula in which R2 and R3 are as defined above, and then, in step (iii), in the presence of a halogenating agent in a solvent, the halogenating agent is formed formula (Ib) ** Formula ** in which R2 and R3 are as defined above and X is chlorine or bromine . |
