abstract | Melt blown webs comprising melt blown fibers made of at least 80% by weight of a polypropylene composition comprising (A) a polypropylene homopolymer or copolymer with a comonomer content of up to 12.0% by weight , (B) optionally, a polymeric nucleating agent, where the 10 melt blown bands show an integral ratio [Rv], which is defined as the ratio of the integral value that specifies the area under the peak with the chemical shift at 4 , 77 ppm of a 1H NMR spectrum with respect to the integral value that specifies the area under the peak with the chemical shift at 4.70 ppm of the 1H NMR spectrum, from 0.95 to 1.20, the spectrum of 1H NMR by 1H-NMR spectroscopy in solution state, as described in the experimental part, in which the polypropylene composition has been prepared by visbreaking with at least one compound (C) capable of thermally decomposing into free radicals based on carbon of formulas (I) or (II) by breaking at least one single bond ** Formula ** being able, in these formulas, each of R1, R2 and R3, respectively R4, R5 and R6, to be selected independently of hydrogen, saturated or monounsaturated, branched or cyclic, substituted or unsubstituted, straight-chain hydrocarbons with 1 to 12 carbon atoms, substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbons with 5 to 12 carbon atoms, or COOX carboxylate groups, X being a C1-C6 alkyl group, whereby at least one of R1, R2 and R3, respectively R4, R5 and R6, is a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic hydrocarbon with 5 to 12 carbon atoms. |
