titleOfInvention | Device to determine dyskinesia |
abstract | A device for determining the degree of dyskinesia in a subject, the device comprising a sensor that can be removably connected to the limb, torso or head of the subject, said sensor including a first detector for detecting three-dimensional movement, retention means of data to retain the data generated by the detector; transfer means for transferring said data to the data retention means; processing means, for processing the data in the data retention means and classifying said processed data; output means for displaying the diagnosed condition to a user; characterized in that the processing means are adapted to use an evolutionary algorithm in the classification of said data and the comparison with a known dyskinesia condition, and in that the sensor also includes a second motion detector to detect pitch, roll and yaw of the sensor, said second motion detector providing additional data to the data retention means, to be used also by the processing means to determine the extent of dyskinesia. |
