A coated confectionery composition comprising: a confectionery core; and a coating composition in particulate form at least partially surrounding the confectionery core; wherein the particulate coating composition comprises powdered gum arabic wherein the particulate coating composition further comprises sugar polyol particles or saccharide sweetener particles; wherein the sugar polyol or saccharide sweetener particulate materials are present in the particulate coating in an amount of 60 to 85% by weight and the amount of gum arabic is 40 to 15% by weight, both percentages by weight with respect to the total weight of the coating in the form of particles. |
