A method of producing a recombinant polypeptide in a Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cell culture, the method comprising: (a) culturing CHO cells having reduced MiRNA-let-7a activity to produce the recombinant polypeptide; and (b) recovering the polypeptide, wherein the CHO cell culture has a specific productivity that is increased by at least about 25% compared to a control CHO cell culture that has no reduced MiRNA-let-7a activity, wherein the activity of MiRNA-let-7a is reduced by a microRNA inhibitor or wherein the CHO cells comprise MiRNA-let-7a genetic genes. |
