abstract Method for predicting the therapeutic response to therapy with Fc gamma IIB receptor (FcγRIIB) in an individual suffering from idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura (ITP), which comprises detecting the presence of the allelic pattern for the Fc gamma IIB receptor (FcγRIIB) in a sample of said individual, in which the presence of the homozygous FcγRIIB 232 T / T genotype, in which T is threonine, is indicative of an individual that will present a negative therapeutic response to said Fc gamma IIB receptor therapy (FcγRIIB), wherein FcγRIIB therapy is treatment with a soluble FcγRIIB receptor consisting of the amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID No: 1 or 3.
