| abstract | Sample processing system for processing chemical or biological samples, especially body fluids, such as blood, saliva, secretions and the like, or tissue samples, especially for processing samples for DNA analysis by means of PCR, comprising a dosing device with a housing plate (12), wherein the housing plate (12) is disposed substantially horizontally in a plane defined by first and second directions (X, Y); with at least one working arm (14, 16, 18) that is movable in the first direction (X) relative to the housing plate (12), preferably along a first edge (13) of the housing plate housing (12), and in which the work arm (14, 16, 18) extends in the second direction (Y) to beyond the housing plate (12), in which it is mounted on the work arm work (14, 16, 18) at least one pipetting device (30) movable in the second direction (Y), in which the pipetting device (30) comprises at least one pipetting channel (32) movable in a third direction (Z) orthogonal to the first and second directions (X, Y) and having a pipetting tip (33) installed or installable therein, and wherein the pipetting device (30) is arranged to dispense liquid towards a sample container or to aspirate it from it; and at least one thermal cycler (50, 52) which is provided in the area of the receiving plate (12), characterized in that the thermal cycler (50, 52) is arranged on the receiving plate (12) in such a way that the pipetting device (30) can be moved during a PCR process to a position that enables a pipetting operation above sample containers located in the thermal cycler (50, 52). |
