In vitro diagnostic or prognostic procedure for a disorder related to atherosclerosis in an individual, which comprises the steps of: a) determining the level of expression of at least one biomarker consisting of a small Y RNA (s-RNY) in a biological sample of said individual, b) compare the level of expression of said at least one biomarker with a reference value, c) deduce from said comparison if the individual has developed or is at risk of developing a disorder related to atherosclerosis. |
