Antimicrobial Agent Screening Procedure |
abstract |
A method for screening an antimicrobial agent against a microorganism that causes an unpleasant smell in an air conditioning system, comprising: (a) preparing one or more microorganisms that cause an unpleasant smell in an air conditioning system and are selected from the group consisting of Microbacterium trichothecenolyticum HKMC-112 (access number: KCCM11395P), Microbacterium flavescens HKMC-104 (access number: KCCM11387P), Methylobacterium dankookense HKMC-101 (access number: KCCM11384P) Methylobacterium number 102 Access code: KCCM11385P), Methylobacterium tardum HKMC-103 (access number: KCCM11386P), Methylobacterium radiotolerans HKMC-111 (access number: KCCM11394P), Sphingomonas dokdonensis HKMC-105 (access number: KCCM11nsimPos 106ths of the number of passages) (access number: KCCM11389P), Sphingomonas humi HKMC-107 (access number: KCCM11390P), Sphingomonas melonis HKMC-108 (number of access: KCCM11391P), Staphylococcus hominis subsp. hominis HKMC-109 (access number: KCCM11392P), Staphylococcus warneri HKMC-110 (access number: KCCM11393P) or a culture thereof; (b) contact a sample to be analyzed with the microorganism; (c) measure an inhibition of the growth of the microorganism or a decrease in the generation of an unpleasant odor; and (d) determine that the sample has antimicrobial activity against the microorganism if the growth of the microorganism is inhibited or the generation of unpleasant odor decreases. |
