A method for monitoring the vapor phase corrosion in a paper or cardboard machine, comprising: obtaining information regarding the steam phase corrosion rate over a period of time using an in-line sensor; and use the information to determine how to adjust the dosage of an oxidizing biocide in a paper or cardboard manufacturing process; and adjust the amount of oxidizing biocide based on the information obtained regarding vapor phase corrosion. |
