titleOfInvention | Process for the production of alkyl esters of fatty acids using microorganisms that have the capacity to produce oil |
abstract | A method of producing an alkyl fatty acid ester using Rhodococcus opacus, the process comprising the steps of: (a) cultivating Rhodococcus opacus that has the ability to produce oil and transformed with a first gene encoding a triacylglycerol lipase and a second gene which encodes a monoacrylic glycerol lipase, thus producing oil; (b) induce the autolysis of the oil produced in Rhodococcus opacus to produce a free fatty acid, in which the autolysis is carried out in Rhodococcus opacus by triacyl glycerol lipase and monoacyl glycerol lipase; and (c) adding an alcohol to the free fatty acid produced and reacting the alcohol with the free fatty acid to produce an alkyl fatty acid ester, wherein the first gene comprises SEQ ID NO: 19, and the second gene comprises the M. smegmatis MAG lipase gene produced by PCR amplification of M. smegmatis genomic DNA with the primers of SEQ ID NO: 13 and SEQ ID NO: 14 according to Example 2. |
