abstract | Focused ultrasound system guided by neuronavigation, which guides a focused ultrasound energy to a target point, comprising a focused ultrasound device (10) that generates a focus point (0) and that supplies said energy to said target point; a neuronavigation system (20) that is electrically connected to said focused ultrasound device and that includes a calibration unit, wherein said calibration unit establishes a positional relationship between said focus point (0) and an image previously obtained of a region of interest of an individual (40), performs a coordinate calibration procedure, and allows said neuronavigation system (20) to recognize said focus point (0) and define said target point, at which said unit of calibration provides a first tracking point (P1) and a second tracking point (P2), and wherein said first tracking point (P1) provides fixed reference coordinates and is arranged at a location whose relative position with respect to said region of interest of said individual is invariable, and wherein said second tracking point (P2) is arranged in an ultrasound transducer (106) of said focused ultrasound device (10), and said neuronavigation system (20) includes a computer unit that records images of said region of interest of said individual (40), and wherein said computer unit performs said calibration procedure according to said images of said region of interest of said individual (40), said focus point (0) of said focused ultrasound device (10), said first tracking point (P1) and said second monitoring point (P2); and a fixing element (30) that allows said region of interest of said individual (40) to be fixed thereto. |
