abstract | Method for preparing and purifying a plant extract from the species Solanum glaucophyllum comprising as components metabolites of vitamin D3 present as 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D3 glycosides in a concentration of at least 300 µg / g analytically determined as 1.25 total dihydroxyvitamin D3 and quercetin glycosides in a concentration of at least 100 mg / g determined as quercetin after acid hydrolysis, where the method comprises the following steps: a) extracting leaves from the species Solanum glaucophyllum using a mixing solvent of ethanol / water having an ethanol / water ratio (%) of 80/20 to 50/50 or having an ethanol / water ratio (%) of 35/65 to 20/80 (v / v); and b) purifying the extract obtained according to step a), using steps: b1) applying the plant extract obtained according to step a) to a column comprising a nonionic polymeric resin, selected from polystyrene, copolymers of ethylene divinylbenzene, acrylic ether polymers, and polyphenolic resins; b2) washing the column with water; b3) eluting the plant extract from the column; and b4) concentrating and / or drying the extract. |
