A process for the preparation of an edible, chewable composition, this process which comprises: the preparation of a liquid premix, proceeding to mix a humectant with other liquid ingredients, if any; the preparation of a dry premix, proceeding to mix collagen or a derivative of collagen, with other ingredients, if any; cooling the liquid premix and the dry premix, at a temperature within ranges ranging from approx. - 15 ° C until approx. 7 ° C; the mixing of the liquid premix and the dry premix, at a temperature within a range from approx. - 15 ° C until approx. 7 ° C, to form a pourable paste; the pouring of the paste into a heat stable container; the heating of the container, at a temperature and over a period of time, which are sufficient to produce a cooked pasta; and cooling the cooked pasta, to form an edible, chewable composition. |
