Mutant bovine herpesvirus type 4 (BoHV-4) virus, characterized in that it is not capable of creating a functional ORF73 protein, said BoHV-4 virus being characterized in that it has a mutation in the ORF73 gene; why said virus comprises a second deletion, and why said second deletion is a deletion in the ORF71 gene that encodes a v-FLIP, the ORF16 gene that encodes a v-Bcl-2 homolog, the Bo10 gene that encodes glycoprotein gp80 or the ORF21 gene encoding thymidine kinase. |
