titleOfInvention | PROCEDURE FOR THE DETECTION, QUANTIFICATION AND IDENTIFICATION OF TENACIBACULUM MARITIMUM |
abstract | The present invention is a procedure to detect, quantify and/or identify the pathogen Tenacibaculum maritimum in a real-time PCR assay. The procedure includes carrying out a real-time PCR assay using samples of pure or mixed bacterial cultures, or DNA isolated from pure or mixed bacterial cultures, tissues or epidermal mucus of fish, or seawater. , using for this, a pair of primers specific for Tenacibaculum maritimum and detecting, quantifying and identifying the amplified nucleotide sequences. The invention also provides a kit to detect, quantify and identify Tenacibaculum maritimum comprising the aforementioned primers, control DNA fragments, deoxynucleotide triphosphates, reaction buffer and instruction manual. |
