abstract |
A composition comprising an aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase (RS), wherein RS: i) aminoacylates to an extent of more than 90% a tRNA with para-methylazido-L-phenylalanine (pAMF) compared to amino acids of common natural origin; ii) has a sequence identity of more than 80% with the tyrosyl tRNA synthetase (TyrRS) of Methanococcus jannaschii having SEQ ID NO: 1; and iii) using SEQ ID NO: 1 as the reference sequence, it has: a) at the amino acid position L65: A or V; b) at the amino acid position F108: Y or W; c) at the position of amino acid D158: A; d) at the position of the amino acid Y32: T or V or A; and e) at the position of amino acid I159: S or G or V. |
