abstract A preparation for sustained-release spray of sex pheromones of the water dispersion type, comprising at least: an insect sex pheromone substance that is included within a ring of an inclusion cyclodextrin, the inclusion cyclodextrin that includes the substance of sexual pheromone of insects, a cyclodextrin of non-inclusion that does not include the substance sexual pheromone of insects, a polymer soluble in water and water, in which the substance of sexual pheromone of insects is one or more substances of sex pheromones of selected insects from the group consisting of acetates, esters, aldehydes, alcohols, ketones, epoxides and hydrocarbons, each having 4 to 23 carbon atoms in total, including the number of carbons in the functional groups; said inclusion cyclodextrin and said non-inclusion cyclodextrin can be of the same type or of different types and are selected from the group consisting of α-cyclodextrin, ß-cyclodextrin and γ-cyclodextrin; said water soluble polymer is selected from polyvinyl alcohols; the amount of cyclodextrin inclusion is 1.0 to 1.1 moles or 2.0 to 2.2 moles per mole of the sex pheromone substance and said non-inclusion cyclodextrin is comprised in a molar amount of 0.1 to 1.5 times the molar amount of said insect sex pheromone substance.
