| abstract | A hair color lightening process that has been in contact for no more than 24 hours with an alkaline-based straightening or stretching composition, the method comprising: (a) combining a bleaching composition comprising at least one oxidizing agent selected from the group constituted by persulfates, perborates, percarbonates, their salts and mixtures thereof; and at least one rheology modifying agent, with a revealing composition comprising hydrogen peroxide and a cosmetically acceptable carrier in order to form a lightening composition, where the pH of the lightening composition is from 2 to 7; (b) apply, within 24 hours after stretching or straightening hair, the lightening composition on hair that has been in contact with an alkaline-based straightening or stretching composition; (c) leave the lightening composition on the hair for a period of time sufficient to achieve a 1 to 4 increase in the height of the hair tone; and (d) optionally, rinse the hair. |
