Procedure for welding aramid fibers, characterized in that: a) at least one area of the aramid fiber is treated with an ionic liquid, in such a way that the aramid begins to dissolve, b) the aramid fiber is brought into contact through the zone which has begun to dissolve with another zone of the aramid fiber, pressure being optionally exerted on the contact zone, the other zone of the aramid fiber preferably preferably beginning to dissolve also according to the step a) and then c) the area that has begun to dissolve in the aramid is re-coagulated, the ionic liquid presenting at least one of the following two criteria: i) value of α <0.6 and value of ß> 0 , 8 or ii) difference in value of ß - value of α> = 0.45, being the value of α and the value of ß solvent parameters of Kamlet-Taft. |
