titleOfInvention Use of non-subtype B GAG proteins for lentiviral encapsidation
abstract A replication defective lentiviral encapsidation vector that does not encode a functional HIV-1 Env and lacks a sitio site and encodes HIV-1 Gag-Pol selected from the group consisting of HIV-1 Gag-Pol from HIV-1 NDK or Gal-Pol of HIV-1 of a HIV-1 of subtype D, characterized in that the Gag-Pol protein comprises a portion of MA protein that has one or more of the following characteristics: the absence of an acid glutamic at amino acid position 12; the absence of an arginine at amino acid position 15; the absence of a valine at amino acid position 46; and the absence of leucine at amino acid position 61, where amino acid positions are numbered with respect to SEQ ID NO: 5.
