titleOfInvention PREPARATION OF EXPANDED PERLITE AND ITS USE IN PRODUCTS FOR SMOKING IN WATER PIPES
abstract The present invention relates to the use of expanded perlite as a support for the heating and evaporation of liquids for smoking in water pipes. It is proposed a treatment of commercial expanded perlite for use in horticulture that makes it a suitable material for the evaporation of heated liquids for smoking in water pipes. The use of expanded perlite, conveniently treated and selected, mixed with liquids composed of some of the following components is proposed: glycerin, propylene glycol, polyethylene glycol 400 and aromas, resulting in a mixture that can be smoked in a water pipe (also known like hookha, shisha or hookah). The heating of the mixture of liquid and expanded perlite in a water pipe produces a rapid evaporation effect that after passing through the water pipe results in a remarkable generation of smoke similar to the act of smoking but with a smoke formed mainly by steam of water and aromas.
