A conductive primer composition for use in a current collector within an electrical energy storage device containing a non-aqueous electrolyte, said conductive primer composition comprising: (a) an organic polymeric binder comprising one or more polymer soluble in Water; (b) a solvent system comprising water; (c) phosphorous-based acid bound to at least one of the one or more water soluble polymers and present in a range of 0.025-10.0% by weight of a total amount of said one or more water soluble polymers in wherein at least one of said one or more water-soluble polymers having phosphorous-based acid attached to them are constituted by at least 70% by weight of one or more monomers selected from the group consisting of acrylamide, n-methylol acrylamide, methacrylamide, n-methylol methacrylamide, vinylformamide, n-methylvinylformamide, acrylic acid and methacrylic acid, wherein at least a portion of said one or more monomers is acrylamide; and (d) conductive particles. |
