abstract A defoamer formulation comprising up to 50% by weight of a polymer in a suitable diluent, the polymer being an acrylate polymer with 1-20% acrylic acid or a methacrylate polymer with 1-20% methacrylic acid and the Diisodecyl Phthalate Diluent, Diisooctyl Adipate, Diisooctyl Phthalate, Bis-2-Ethylhexyl Adipate, Dioctyl Adipate, 2-Ethyl-1-Hexanol, Isooctyl Alcohol, Dihexyl Phthalate, or mixtures thereof; 20-80% by weight of an organic vehicle, the organic vehicle being selected from polybutenes having a molecular weight of 300-1300 atomic mass units, fatty acid esters, polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, or mixtures thereof; up to 15% by weight of an additive selected from hydrophobic silica, fatty alcohols, fatty acids, or mixtures thereof; and optionally up to 30% by weight of a surfactant selected from polypropylene triol, butoxy-polypropylene polyethylene glycol, alkoxylated dimethylpolysiloxane, alkyl modified siloxanes, polyether modified polysiloxanes, fluorine modified siloxanes, siloxane waxes, siloxane waxes. block copolymer of ethylene oxide / propylene oxide, the esters of polyethylene glycol, polypropylene glycol, polypropylene triol, butoxy-polypropylene-polyethylene glycol, block copolymer of ethylene oxide / propylene oxide, alkylpolyoxyethylene ethers, polyethylene ether, polyethylene ethers polyoxyethylene castor, alkylpolyoxyethylenic amines and amides, or mixtures thereof, wherein the defoamer formulation does not contain oil or free silicone.
