abstract A method of forming a three-dimensional object, comprising the steps of: (a) providing a carrier and a construction plate, the construction plate comprising a fixed semipermeable member, said semipermeable member comprising a construction surface with said surface of construction and said carrier defining a construction region between them, and with said construction surface in fluid communication, by means of the semipermeable member, with a source of polymerization inhibitor (b) filling said construction region with the polymerizable liquid making said polymerizable liquid contact with said construction surface, (c) irradiating said construction region through said construction plate to produce a solid polymerized region in said construction region, while forming or maintaining a composite liquid film release layer of said polymerizable liquid between said solid polymerized region and said construction surface, wherein the polymerization of whose liquid film is inhibited by said polymerization inhibitor; (d) advancing said carrier with said polymerized region adhered thereto against said construction surface on said construction plate to create a posterior construction region between said polymerized region and said construction surface while concurrently filling said region of subsequent construction with polymerizable liquid as in step (b); and (e) continue and / or repeat steps (c) and (d) to continuously produce in a layerless manner a subsequent polymerized region adhered to a previous polymerized region until the continued or repeated deposition of polymerized regions adhered between if they form this three-dimensional object; and where the construction plate is substantially fixed or stationary.
