titleOfInvention | Method and system of dental analysis |
abstract | A system for designing the dentition (10) of a patient, which is composed of: an entrance to provide an image of the patient's smile to the system; an exit; a processor to calculate and apply a first set of visual indicators (20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26) in the image of the patient's smile through the exit. The first set of visual indicators indicates the position of the teeth (11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18) of the patient and that position of the teeth would give a desired aesthetic effect. In addition, the processor would also be used to calculate and apply a second set of visual indicators in the image of the patient's smile through the exit, where the second set of visual indicators will provide adjustment of the position of the patient's teeth; a memory that has a library of 2D digital images of smiles and associated 3D teething models stored within it; a user interface to select a desired 2D digital image (40) to apply it to the image of the patient's smile and to adjust the second set of visual indicators, the adjustment of the second set of visual indicators when modifying the 2D digital image (40); where the processor modifies the 3D dentition model that is associated with the 2D digital image (40) and provides a virtual waxing (100) of a dental rehabilitation of the patient's dentition (10). |
