titleOfInvention Automated method for the identification, quantification and discrimination of specific signals against non-specific signals in detection methods that use a detector
abstract A method for the identification, quantification and discrimination of specific signals against non-specific signals in a detection method that is performed with at least one detector to locate and identify specific white structures in sample material, where the detector sends or generates signals for its determination and these signals allow a quantification of the detector, and where the specific signals are the signals sent or generated by the detector due to the finding and identification of the white structure, said method characterized by: - that the analysis comprises at least an analysis preparation and at least one control preparation, which are processed in parallel; - that the control preparation contains the same components in the same quantities as the analysis preparation that is processed in parallel, but differs from the actual analysis preparation in that the binding domain (s) of the detector (s) ( is) is blocked; and - that all the signals measured in the control preparation are subtracted from all the signals measured in the analysis preparation, where the difference constitutes the specific signal of the detector (s) of the (s) cellular structure (s) to be determined, wherein the detection method is a flow cytometric analysis method and is performed by flow cytometry.
