Composition comprising an acetylcholine alpha 7 nicotinic receptor agonist (nAChR) for use in the treatment of cognitive impairments, psychotic and / or neurodegenerative disorders or increasing the cognitive skills of an individual in a selected patient population, where the nAChR agonist alpha-7 is (R) -3- (6-p-tolyl-pyridin-3-yloxy) -1-aza-bicyclo [2.2.2] octane, where the patient population is selected on the basis that they have at least one SNP indicative of human cytochrome P450 1A2 (CYP1A2) and where the selected patients are homozygous for the indicative SNP CYP1A2 rs2069514-A / A indicative (SEQ.
