abstract |
An injectable pharmaceutical formulation suitable for treating a condition of vertigo of a subject, or suitable for treating or preventing a condition of nausea or vomiting of a subject, the injectable pharmaceutical formulation essentially consisting of: a therapeutically effective amount of meclizine; a molar excess of chemically modified cyclodextrin selected from the group consisting of 2-hydroxypropyl beta-cyclodextrin and sulfobutyl ether-beta-cyclodextrin; an aqueous vehicle medium, the aqueous vehicle medium having a pH between 3 and 7, the pharmaceutically acceptable formulation being suitable for injection; and optionally a pharmaceutically acceptable preservative, a pharmaceutically acceptable antioxidant, a pharmaceutically acceptable osmolality adjusting agent, or a combination thereof. |
