abstract | A test strip (310, 410, 510, 610, 710, 810, 1010) to test an analyte in a body fluid or another using matrices of multiple electrodes with different sensitivities to interferents, the test strip defining a capillary passage (214 ), the step being sized to induce the movement of a sample of body fluid along a predetermined path through the passage, the test strip comprising: a first set of electrodes (284, 480, 661, 1081) in electrical communication with the step to obtain a first measurement correlated with the concentration of an analyte in the sample; and a second set of electrodes (280, 484, 572, 1082) in electrical communication with the passage to obtain a second measurement correlated with the analyte and one or more properties of the sample; characterized in that an electrode assembly comprising a pair of electrodes with substantially parallel interleaved fingers, each electrode (284, 484, 661, 1082) having at least two fingers, and each of the fingers being less than about 50 μm of the another nearest finger; and the electrodes (280, 480, 572, 1081) being of the other rectangular assembly and having a separation greater than about 250 μm between the closest points thereof. |
