A method for determining a risk of a human subject of developing lung cancer, the method comprising determining a level of catalytic activity of N-methylpurine DNA glycosylase (MPG) in a biological sample of the subject, and, according to said level, determining the risk of the subject of developing lung cancer, in which a level of said MPG catalytic activity above a first predetermined value is indicative of an increased risk of said subject of developing lung cancer. |
