titleOfInvention Split centrifuge centrifugation of test elements
abstract A method (115, 120) of batch centrifugation of test samples, the method comprising the steps of: a) creating two smaller secondary batches from a main batch of test samples, having the primary batch of test samples a single uninterrupted centrifugation protocol (110); b) loading the test samples of said secondary lots in two centrifuges that operate for half the time that the protocol (110); c) staggering the operation of the centrifuges with respect to each other; d) a pause (150) in the operation of the staggered centrifuges and at least one of the loading of new samples and unloading of completed test samples of each of the paused centrifuges during said pause stage (150); and e) resuming said centrifugation of said paused centrifuges, in which the frequency of said discharge and recharge of said centrifuges is increased compared to the frequency of discharge and recharge of a single primary centrifuge loaded with a primary load of test samples.
