ALBUMS AND PEPTIDES ABLE TO HYDROLYZE ORGANOPHOSPHORATED COMPOUNDS AND CARBAMATES, AND USES OF THE SAME |
abstract |
Albumin and peptides capable of hydrolyzing organophosphorus compounds and carbamates, and uses thereof. # The present invention discloses the amino terminal sequence of bird albumin bound to divalent cations such as copper or zinc, as well as any recombinant or fusion protein that comprise said sequence for use as a medicine, specifically for the treatment of poisonings produced by organophosphorus compounds. The present invention also describes compositions and methods of treatment for said type of poisonings. On the other hand, the present invention discloses the use of said sequences and peptides that comprise them for the decontamination and / or bioremediation of areas or surfaces contaminated by organophosphorus compounds and for the isolation of chiral compounds. |
