titleOfInvention | PRODUCTION OF STEROIDS 11-ALFA HYDROXYLATES THROUGH BIOTRANSFORMATION WITH RECOMBINANT BACTERIA |
abstract | Production of hydroxylated 11 {al} steroids by biotransformation with recombinant bacteria. # The present invention provides a method for producing hydroxylated 11 {al} steroidal compounds or by fermentation of natural sterols or by biotransformation of different steroid syntheses with recombinant bacteria , preferably from Mycobacterium smegmatis or from Corynebacterium glutamicum. Said recombinant bacteria carry a plasmid comprising a synthetic operon containing the cyp509Cl2 and roCPR1 genes of Rhizopus oryzae, which encode cytochrome CYP509C12 with 11 {al} -hydroxylase activity and cytochrome reductase (RoCPR1) necessary for cytochrome activity. By the method described in the present invention, 11 {al} OH-ADD or 11 {al} -OH-AD can be produced, but not limited to, from natural sterols such as cholesterol or phytosterols, or 11 {al} -OH- PROG, 11 {al} -OH-DOC, 11 {al} -OH-TEST, 11 {al} -OH-DHEA, 11 {al} -OH-AD and / or 11 {al} -OH-ADD from of their corresponding non-hydroxylated tunes. |
