abstract |
A medical device (100) for the treatment of a sinus opening, so that the medical device comprises: a handle or handle (102) with: a proximal end (116); a distal end (118); and a longitudinal axis along the length of the handle; a sheath or conditioning sheath (104) with a distal end (124) and a proximal end (126), such that the proximal end of the conditioning sheath is attached to the distal end of the handle; a first rail or track (106) with a distal end (130) and a proximal end (132), which is partially located in the conditioning sheath so that an annular conduit between the rail and the conditioning sheath is created or delimited ; thus, the distal end of the rail has a first angled shape and the rail can be rotated relative to the handle (102) about the longitudinal axis; a guide wire (108) operatively extending from the distal end of the rail; a balloon catheter (or balloon catheter) (110) arranged at least partially in the handle and the annular duct; and a movement mechanism of the balloon catheter (112) that is operatively located in the handle; so that the movement mechanism of the balloon catheter is configured to advance and retract (or retract) the balloon catheter through the handle and the annular duct and along the rail and guide wire when a user handles the movement mechanism of the balloon catheter. |
