abstract |
A method of synthesizing an organic metal structure (EOM) in the form of Mx (L) and (OH) v (H2O) w in which: M is a metal or metals; L is a benzene polycarboxylate binding agent; and x is 2-10, and is 0.8-1.2, v is 0-1 and w is 0-14; the method comprising the step of providing a water soluble L salt or an aqueous solution thereof; and vigorously mixing the aqueous solution of the L salt with a water / alcohol solution of a metal salt / metal source, or vice versa; or a metal salt / salt source of water soluble L, and water / alcohol added directly into a single container and mixed vigorously; wherein the water / alcohol solution is in the 3-80 molar range of water / alcohol of a metal salt / salt source and the mixing takes place at a temperature between 10 ° C and 80 ° C for minutes at 6 hours, in order to obtain said EOM. |
